Notezeit Media Lab
A source-traceable data-to-story system for research briefs, reproducible analysis, chart production, platform-native drafts, and human editorial review.

- 05Editorial approval
Machine verification and human sign-off stay separate gates — a passing test never stands in for an editor.
Challenge
What the work needed to resolve.
Make every quantitative claim traceable to a source and computation while keeping human editorial judgment as a real publication gate.
Approach
A system designed for scrutiny.
- 01
Created a packet workflow spanning ideas, research, source notes, data, analysis, story structure, and platform exports.
- 02
Added machine-verifiable provenance, cached source acquisition, reproducible chart rendering, and evidence-readiness reports.
- 03
Kept human approval separate from machine verification so passing tests never masquerades as editorial sign-off.
Inside
What the system actually produces.
The figures below are rebuilt in the portfolio from synthetic series, so they show the shape of each output without carrying any real data out of the project.
Every published chart carries the same furniture: a greyed crowd, directly labelled story points, an OLS fit with its 95% band, and the honest r and n beside it.

Each claim is typed and re-checked against its computation. Machine verification can pass while the editorial gate is still open — the report says so.
